Church Weddings

Within the West Midlands, particularly Shropshire there are a wealth of beautiful churches and chapels, for couples with local connections, who want a religious ceremony. Featured below is Lydbury North church that accepts couples to get married there. Couples are asked to attend the church once a month for six months to show their commitment to the church and God. It is a very beautiful church that can seat about 200 people. Its is located practically at the bottom of Walcot Hall’s drive way making it the perfect location. Walcot Hall provides an ideal wedding reception venue in the West Midlands, as a country house with an impressive entrance, beautiful gardens and an abundance of photographic panoramas. The drive to the Hall takes you over a bridge crossing the lakes, up a tree-lined avenue and to a carriage sweep in front of the main house. Wedding guests may then enter through the Hall and into a walled courtyard before proceeding into the gardens or the Ballroom for the wedding reception.

Country House Wedding Reception

Hiring the Ballroom for 2 days, allows the bridal party to spend the day before their wedding reception checking seating plans and fine tuning arrangements. In addition, you may choose to welcome friends who are staying at Walcot Hall in the self-catering accommodation and host a pre-wedding dinner or outdoor event in the gardens on the eve of your wedding. Alternatively, a brunch on the day following the festivities is also a possibility.

If required as an extra reception room, particularly if the weather is unfavourable, the main house may be hired for a 2 hours period for drinks, canapés, speeches or musical entertainment.
