Tariff & Booking

The standard 48-hour hire period for Walcot Ballroom runs from 10 a.m. on Friday to 10 a.m. on Sunday. This ensures exclusivity, that your wedding reception will be the only one taking place at Walcot Hall during the weekend and that you have ample time to organise seating arrangements, table decorations, florists, caterers, photographers, etc. prior to the wedding day. Included in the costs are the; Tables, chairs, table linen, crockery, cutlery and glassware.

All Inclusive Hire Tariff

The two-hour fee represents the charge for a civil ceremony taking place in the Main Hall.  This can be booked on any day of the week, between 10am and 6 pm. There is an additional charge if you wish to hire the main hall for a civil ceremony; normally we charge £650 but if hired with the 48 hour package it is reduced to £500.

Civil partnerships taking place in the Ballroom, with a reception to follow, carry no additional hire charge.  However, if your require a civil marriage only, this may not be booked within the Ballroom on a Friday or Saturday in April through to October.

The 12 hour fee offers couples a more economic option for those who don’t require an evening party or who do not wish to extend the celebrations into a full weekend.

A 20% reduction is given to weddings taken on days other than Friday and Saturday and a 10% discount is made for bookings outside May, June, July, August and September. However if you decided to have a mid week wedding also out of season you can not have both discounts. Also Christmas, New year and Easter are classed as peak times and do  not receive discount.
