Walcot Hall Camping and Caravan Park is the ultimate situation for camping in Shropshire. Upon arrival in South Shropshire, the Camping/Caravan Park is situation is to the rear of the Powis Arms public house, at the entrance of the drive to the Hall.

Camping Facilities

Our campsite has 12 pitches for touring caravans each with electrical hook up and additional space for tents. Facilities include heated amenity block with showers, toilets, washing machines, dryers and chemical disposal point. The pub is very friendly and serves restaurant and bar meals and the village shop is a short walking distance. There is also food shops and a petrol station in Bishops Castle.

This campsite is in an idyllic location for exploring the outstanding natural beauty of South Shropshire, with Offa’s Dyke and Bury Ditches walks only a few miles away. If you are looking for self catering accommodation with a little more character in Shropshire, there are two holiday caravans available for hire on this site. They are converted showman’s caravans, each sleeping two guests and more information can be found within the accommodation section of the website.

Nearby (3 miles) is the quaint and beautiful town of Bishops Castle which is know for its brilliant beers and homemade food, Pubs such as the Three Tuns, The Six Bells and The Castle Hotel are famous for their own brewed beers. Bishops Castle regularly hold events throughout the year which are great fun for all the family. It also has a leisure center equipped with a swimming pool and a play area perfect for children.

Camping Rates & Booking

The campsite is run by Walcot Hall administration and pitches can be booked in advance by contacting the office. Camping costs £5 per person per night or the tariff for touring caravans is £15 per pitch per night for two guests, including electric hook up and use of amenities. Additional guests are charged £5 per person per night, children under 5 are free and accompanied children between 5 and 16 years old are half price. Well behaved dogs are allowed on site.
