Walcot Hall House and Gardens Open to the Public
Walcot Hall gardens will be open to the public for two days over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend on 24th and 25th May 2015. Open in conjunction with the National Gardens Scheme, these are the only two days in the year that the private family gardens and the main house are open for general viewing.
Opening times are 1.30 to 5.30pm and tickets cost £3.50 for the gardens and arboretum plus an additional £2 to view the house. Afternoon tea will be served in the Ballroom throughout the afternoon and there will be also be a variety of plants on sale.
The gardens cover over 30 acres and includes one of the finest arboretums in Britain. The Rhododenrons and Azaleas will be in full bloom & looking their best at this time of year making Walcot Hall one of the finest gardens in Shropshire.

Opera a la Carte presents The Marriage of Figaro with it’s philandering husband, scheming rivals, lustful teen, drunken gardener, silly young girl, and a dash of mistaken identities. It promises to be the perfect evening of love, lust and intrigue.
The production is directed by Nicholas Heath, with Ben Woodward musically directing from the piano. Our Figaro will be set just outside 18th century Seville and performed in the round with fabulous costumes, pampered wigs and lots of powder.
Standard tickets are priced at £60.00 per person and premium ticket which include a two-course supper during the interval are £95.00 per person.
