Styche

Located on the west of the Hall on the second floor, this apartment has 2 large family bedrooms that sleep up to 10 guests.

The Rebecca bedroom has one double bed, one single bed and bunk beds with a double on the bottom and a single on the top. The Richard bedroom has one double and two single beds. Both rooms have wash hand basins.

The kitchen and adjoining living area is cosy, warmed by a wood-burning stove and has views over the lakes through the parapet walls. The bathroom has a bath with overhead shower and screen.

A central corridor links the three apartments on this floor of the Hall (Styche, Montfort and Arni). These apartments can be block booked, with extra bedrooms, to sleep groups of up to 25 people. The additional bedrooms are charged at a flat rate, regardless of lenght of stay or season and consist of a single bedroom (William - £80), a double bedroom (Margaretta - £100) and a quadruple bedroom (Lawrence - £130).  The William and Lawrence bedrooms are situated adjacent to Styche apartment, in addition to an extra bathroom and can easily be added to your booking if required.

Montfort

Situated on the second floor at the north east corner of the Hall , Montfort has 2 twin bedrooms to comfortabley sleep a family of 4.

The living area has a wood-burning stove and with its' adjoining kitchen it is a light, inviting room, with windows overlooking the lake.  In addition to the bathroom, there is a shower room easily reached from both bedrooms.

The additional bedrooms are charged at a flat rate, regardless of length of stay or season and consist of a single bedroom (William - £80), a double bedroom (Margaretta- £100) and a quadruple bedroom (Lawrence - £130).  The Margaretta room is adjacent to the Montfort living room and can easily be added to your booking to accommodate a total of 6 people. 

Arni

Situated on the south east corner of the hall, Arni is the only second floor apartment that is self contained.  It has two twin bedrooms and will sleep 4 guests

The galley kitchen is compact with its own dining area, although there is another table in the living room, which could be used for dining. The sitting room is entered through one of the bedrooms and is a large room with windows on three walls. It has a wood-burning stove and is a delightful room for a quiet evening or a gatheringn with friends or family. There is a step in the doorway to this room which may cause problems to people with limited mobility.

Berkeley

Berkeley is the west wing of Walcot Hall and as such has a linear layout with its own private entrance.

One twin bedroom leads from the entrance hallway, then all other rooms run from a single corridor. The kitchen and dining room are at one end, with a fitted kitchen, Aga stove, microwave, dishwasher and dining table that will comfortably accommodate eight guests. The living room is a delightful, spacious room, which takes advantage of the views by opening out into the corridor, and is ideally placed to enjoy the ever-changing vista of the lake and Shropshire hills. There is a large twin room, a double bedroom, and a double sofa bed in the lounge. There is a bathroom and shower room within this apartment, both with toilets and wash hand basins. It has a DVD player and video recorder, colour tv, hairdryer and a 2hr drying facilities are available.

Berkeley is a beautiful apartment with tall windows and ceilings and is centrally heated throughout.

Arcot

Arcot is a light and sunny apartment on the ground floor of the clock tower building. It is a one-bedroom apartment with a splendid view from the living room overlooking the gardens and Arboretum.

The living room has a wood-burner and is furnished with a four-foot wide sofa bed, two armchairs, a piano, colour television, dvd player, C.D player and a variety of books. The bedroom has a double bed and sufficient bedding for the additional sofa bed, should it be required. The kitchen is well equipped, with microwave, fridge/freezer and washing machine and has a dining table that seats four guests. The bathroom has three steps leading down into the room and has no shower. Electric night storage heaters are fitted in each room.

Plassey

Situated to the rear of the Walcot estate, this apartment is within the old stable block. It has high ceilings, grand windows, an open plan layout and under-floor heating, which makes it a very pleasant apartment to visit whatever the season.

The large kitchen/dining room has marble flooring and features a Yew dining table, which will seat 10-12 guests. There are patio windows that open out onto a decked area with excellent views of the garden beyond. Plassey has one double and one twin bedroom and a bathroom with a bath and overhead shower with screen. The spacious living room has a wood-burning stove, oak dresser, television, dvd player, C.D. player and three-seater settee that converts to a double bed, should extra guests need accommodating. The living room and both bedrooms have electric night storage heaters.

Quinton

This two-bedroom apartment is situated on the first floor, with a fairly steep staircase leading up from the entrance porch.

One bedroom has a king-size bed and the other is a family room with double bed and two single beds. Both rooms have wash hand basins and are very spacious. The kitchen is fully equipped for six guests and includes a microwave and dishwasher. The living room has comfortable seating, television, dvd player, wood burner and a refectory style dining table to seat six guests. There are electric night storage heaters throughout and the bathroom has a bath, toilet and wash hand basin.

Clive

This enclosed holiday apartment is situated on the ground floor within the old stable block. It has a patio area leading off from the kitchen, plenty of space for children to play.

It has two bedrooms: one with two single beds, which will fix together to form a king-size double bed; and one with a king-size bed. There is also a sofa bed in the lounge. The kitchen is fully equipped for eight guests and includes a microwave and washing machine. A dining area is within the spacious living room, which has an elegant fireplace, ornate ceiling and richly upholstered furniture. The apartment is centrally heated and has wooden floors throughout. The bathroom has a bath, separate shower cubicle, toilet and wash hand basin.

Harold

This apartment is situated on the ground floor within the old stable block. It has a cosy lounge, leading into the spacious and airy kitchen/dining room. It is centrally heated throughout and has a wood burning stove in the lounge. It has two bedrooms, one double and one twin room. The bathroom has a bath and overhead shower.

It has two garden areas, one to the rear of the house, which is totally enclosed, the second area to the side which adjoins the Clive apartment making it ideal for two families wishing to holiday together. This garden overlooks the old walled garden allowing privacy and space.

Chapel

This apartment is hidden by the trees in the Arboretum. There is a track up to the apartment so that belongings can be carried there on arrival and departure but the main access during your stay is on foot through the arboretum so please remember some suitable footware.

The downstairs is open plan  with reclaimed wooded floors and walls. There is a rayburn, gas cooker, fridge, washing machine, colour T.V. and DVD player. The bathroom and shower is also downstairs. Climb the spiral staircase to reach the 2 double bedrooms on a mezzanine level. Both double rooms overlook the lounge below. The apartment is centrally heated throughout.

There is only limited lighting on the pathway to the Chapel so do remember to take your torch with you at nights.
