The Anteroom and Gardens

Leading from the courtyard is a path, giving access along one side of the Ballroom, into the gardens beyond. A flat, lawned area provides ample space for the erection of a marquee or seating for an outdoor event. The gardens have a variety of mown pathways leading to small picnic areas and decorative garden features.

Beautiful, mahogany folding doors divide the Ballroom and Anteroom, allowing flexibility for varying numbers of guests. The Anteroom provides an intimate, cosy room for between 50-70 guests, with comfortable seating and a large, open fireplace. A Bluthner grand piano is available for use and this room will seat up to 80 guests for a formal dinner.

The large Ballroom measuring 18 metres by 7 metres (60 ft x 22 ft) is a light room with five tall windows running along the one wall, offering views to the gardens and woodlands beyond. It has polished wooden floors, a high ceiling with ornate pale green and pink plasterwork, and two large gilded chandeliers. The walls are a vibrant, turquoise-green colour and there are two marble fireplaces, with large over-mantel mirrors within the room.
